Happiness Is The Key To Success.

It seems cheesy to say it, and a bit contrived, maybe even overly obvious, but happiness is the key to success. When you are happy, you are more focused, more driven, and easier to work with. You approach new ventures with more optimism, you see more opportunities in situations where others may seem nothing. This may seem obvious, but it is not. The primary reason is that people believe that to be happy, it must be based on success. The problem is that this is a chicken or egg scenario. Which came first? Most people believe that the success came first, but did it? Most likely it did not. Sure, if someone is unhappy and then they win the lottery, of course maybe we reverse engineer this aspect, but for how long? If that person didn’t understand how to be happy before the good fortune, they are likely to end up right back where they started: Unhappy. Its important to learn to be happy without the success or good fortunes because then, we tend to control achieving success or finding good fortune. More than just the power of positive thoughts comes the science that we just are more inspired, more energized and more willing to work harder when we are happy. We accept failures easier, which enables us to move forward and get started on something new. But how can we be happier? Lets have a look at some ways.

Live in the moment: Be aware of where you are now, not where you were or where you are going. Appreciate all the good things that are happening right now. You have life. Are you healthy? Do you have food? Do you have friends and family? Try to appreciate these things today rather than getting caught up in all the hooplah of yesterday and tomorrow.

Laugh more: Watch some comedies, watch your favorite stand up comic. Call a friend who likes to talk about funny old stories. Just laugh more. Laughter releases endorphins which help us be happier day to day. It relaxes us also.

More sleep: Learn to sleep: Sleep replenishes the body. This should be a priority in everyone’s life.

Make a Happy list: Make a list of all the things which make you happy. Writing them down means pointing them out where you might otherwise always be overlooking their importance.

Compliment others: When you compliment others for no reason, you really do make yourself happier because making someone else’s day just plain feels good. Its selflessness and that’s great for personal happiness.

Be Happy folks and have a Great Weekend!
